The Robert Brooks Foundation
Our History
The Robert Brooks Foundation was established in 2023 by Jason and Elizabeth Monastra in Charlotte, NC, as a reflection of their unwavering commitment to serving God and helping those in need. Their journey began with volunteer work in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS), where they encountered children facing profound challenges. Through these experiences, they realized that these children were not just lacking resources, but most importantly, missing a guiding light and purpose in their lives a that can only come from knowing Jesus Christ.
It was during this time that God opened a door for them—a call to step in and bring hope, a plan, and executable services to these vulnerable children. They recognized this as an opportunity to walk through in faith, responding to the deep needs they had witnessed. The Robert Brooks Foundation was born from this divine inspiration, with a vision to fill those gaps, provide coordinated care, and most importantly, introduce children to the love and hope found in Jesus Christ.
The foundation’s mission is to support and partner with families to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of these children. By providing financial assistance, resources, and guidance, and through a strong network of partners, The Robert Brooks Foundation is dedicated to creating a brighter future for children, one filled with hope, purpose, and the love of Christ.
